In fourth grade, I was tasked with rebranding a cereal box for my favorite movie. A few bottles of glitter later, come presentation time, I pulled a quick-change in the hallway. I presented The Wizard of Oz cereal as Dorothy herself, complete with ruby slippers, a blue dress, and stuffed Toto. My classmates were bewildered—but entertained. 

I tell this story because I’ve been working in advertising my entire life.

Now, I know it’s called copywriting.
